We all love a good visual effect, and so does the Academy. Variety has reported that the top 20 finalists for the Visual Effects Oscar have been informed that they’ve made it to the next round of voting. The finalists include Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Modok’s Tiny Wet Butt.
Here are the Top 20 Visual Effects Oscar Finalists:
The next round of voting will occur from December 14-18, after which the list will be narrowed down to ten movies announced on December 21. The final five nominees will be determined after voting through January 11-16, with the official Oscar nominations in all categories announced on January 23.

So, I’ll leave it you you — which films would you remove from this list and which five deserve to be Visual Effects Oscar nominees?
