Vin Diesel shares another Riddick photo; this one features an ass-kicking

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Vin Diesel has been very generous when it comes to sharing photos from his upcoming films with his fans; it’s hard to think of another actor who is able to bypass the studio marketing machine and present official stills directly to his legion of followers. Today the man has posted a new pic from his late-summer sci-fi action vehicle RIDDICK, which you can soak in below.

As you can see, the picture shows us Riddick in typical uber-badass mode. (You didn’t think we’d be seeing an image of him looking subservient or weak, did you?) Along with the still, Diesel posted the following caption: “Mercs… GRRR!” So we can assume this is Riddick beating the ever-loving crap out of one of the many mercenaries who are out for his blood. (I could be wrong, but it looks like Dave Bautista who is at the receiving end of the thrashing.)

Opening on September 6th, and directed by David Twohy, RIDDICK goes like this:

Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

In addition to Diesel, RIDDICK stars Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson.
