Vin Diesel drives a flaming car through Havana in Fate of the Furious clip

The Fate of the Furious Vin Diesel

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) isn't about to let a little thing like his car bursting into flames keep him from finishing a street race, which is yet another indication that this series is set completely outside our reality. With less than a month to go before the release of THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, Universal Pictures have released a new clip from the upcoming sequel featuring Vin Diesel taking part in a race through the streets of Havana, Cuba. Unlike most people who would find the thought of their car engulfed in flames to be rather terrifying, Diesel's character reacts to this situation with only a slight amount of annoyance.

Of all the potential franchise movies which were released in 2001, I can't say that I would have suspected that the seventh sequel to THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS would soon be upon us. Over the years the series has evolved into something beautifully insane and I must admit that I'm curious to see how much crazier they can get with the final three films in the FAST & FURIOUS saga.

The official synopsis for THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS:

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before. From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS is set for a April 14, 2017 release.
