Back in September Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel surprised his fans by dropping the needle on his first single "Feel Like I Do", and now he's back with another high energy jam to get your blood pumping and your feet out on the dancefloor. Diesel's new track, titled "Days Are Gone", starts with a laid back guitar intro, giving listeners an easy-breezy flow to settle into before the actor starts singing about how time is a precious commodity and how when we were young the clock never mattered as much as it does now.
"Don't you miss those days when we didn't worry about anything? Cause shit, I miss those days when didn't worry bout anything. But now those days are gone," Diesel laments before the song picks up the tempo, steadily morphing into yet another club-inspired banger. After briefly returning to a slow symphonic groove for just a few beats, the track explodes into a celebration of life that demands cold drinks, sweaty bodies, and a pre-COVID gathering of way more than ten people burning calories to the rhythm.

Despite many film and television productions being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, Diesel recently let his fans know that the continued spread of COVID-19 isn't going to keep him from being creative and that he plans to use his "downtime" to work on new scripts and focus on one of his other passion, music. Diesel said as much in a recent Instagram post when he wrote: "You all know how deep I go into the films I make.. this year there was no film production. An artist must have a creative outlet… you who made my Facebook first to 100 million, you who have always encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone saved me, because I was able to make music this year!!! Will always love you, 10 days until the new single"
While not every actor is capable of making a successful jump from the silver screen to the recording booth, Diesel appears to be loving life as a newly-established musician. For what it's worth, I find his music to be quite pure and feel that his enthusiasm behind the effort is both infectious and endearing. He's clearly having a great time while sharing these tracks with the rest of the world and I am completely on board. While summer-style jams aren't particularly my bag, and I'd rather listen to the latest track from bands like Rituals of Mine or Puscifer, I know plenty of people who adore having Diesel in their ears while pumping iron at the gym or cutting a rug while cooking dinner in the kitchen. If it makes you feel good, do it, is what I say. So long as you're not hurtin' folk, go wild.
