VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE was one of the casualties of the COVID-19 delays which pushed its planned October release date to June of next year. Perhaps showing that moviegoers were really looking forward to the sequel, Fandom recently held a poll on Twitter asking fans to pick the sequel they are most looking forward to next year and it looks like the VENOM follow-up is getting a ton of support.
VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE received so much love on the Fandom poll that it actually allowed the upcoming sequel to trend on Twitter. You can check out the tweet which displays other anticipated sequels below:

It's not entirely surprising that the VENOM sequel is trending with fans. The first film, while blasted by critics, was a huge hit with moviegoers. The film went on to gross $856 million at the global box office which made a sequel inevitable. The huge box office essentially proved the popularity of the character which more than made up for the perceived flaws in the film for fans.
