Last March, we shared the news that B.J. Novak, best known for his work on the U.S. version of The Office, was directing a thriller for Blumhouse when the pandemic hit and production had to be shut down. That film, titled Vengeance, has since been able to resume production – and the name of another cast member has now been revealed. Joining Novak and the previously announced Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, and Boyd Holbrook in the film is Isabella Amara, whose credits include Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, the Woody Harrelson film Wilson, and episodes of Nashville and Queen America.
Fans who are closely following the making of Vengeance were tipped off to Amara's involvement a while ago, thanks to Instagram and Twitter images that also feature other cast members who have yet to be officially announced.
Blumhouse is keeping plot details under wraps, but here's a RUMORED plot synopsis that has shown up on IMDb:
A radio host from New York City attempts to solve the murder of his girlfriend and travels down south to investigate the circumstances of her death and discover what happened to her.
Novak wrote the screenplay himself and serves as executive producer with Leigh Kilton-Smith and Chris Warner. Blumhouse's Jason Blum is producing the film with Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath of Divide/Conquer.
