Vanessa Redgrave has confirmed that she has no plans to star alongside Kevin Spacey in the upcoming film The Man Who Drew God.

Previously, Redgrave's husband and the film's director, Franco Nero, confirmed Spacey's casting to news outlets. At the time, Nero stated that he and Redgrave would also star, though that no longer appears to be the case. According to Redgrave, she was in talks to join the cast but has since departed the project. Nero still plans to act in the film as well as direct.

“Vanessa Redgrave’s name is being included in recent stories relating to the casting of the upcoming film The Man Who Drew God,” a statement released on her behalf read. “While there have been discussions about the possibility of her joining the cast, she will not appear in the film.”

Nero is still the film's director, though it sounds as if he will have to find another actress to fill Redgrave's misrepresented role. Though Nero confirmed Spacey's participation in the film, the actor has yet to comment about his stepping in front of the camera once more.

Per IMDB, here is a description for The Man Who Drew God (Italian title L’uomo Che Disegno Dio):

The rise and fall of a blind artist who has the extraordinary gift of making true-to-life portraits just by listening to human voices, and of becoming a TV junk star. A fable on the need to rediscover the miraculous power of dignity in a world where media's noise has solved the problem of man's imperfection simply by removing the problem itself.
