Back in January, we let you guys know that Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren have a new team up movie coming our way called BLACK WATER. The film marks the fifth collaboration between Van Damme and Lundgren, who've worked together on THE EXPENDABLES 2, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION, and UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING.
Anyhow, today we have news that the film has been rated R for violence and language and will be released on Dish Network May 25 and in theaters and on demand June 29. Synopsis:
Action-movie icons Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren deliver a double shot of adrenaline-fueled excitement in this heartpounding undersea thriller. After a failed mission, deep-cover operative Wheeler (Van Damme) is imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine. The CIA agents will to go to any lengths to get information from Wheeler—but nothing can prepare them for the storm of violence that erupts when he joins forces with a fellow prisoner (Lundgren) as deadly as he is mysterious.
The film is directed by Pasha Patriki from a screenplay written by Chad Law and produced by Jason Cherubini, Alexander Ferguson, Tyler W. Konney, and Richard Switzer. The film will be released on Dish Network May 25th and in theaters and on demand June 29th.
