Vampire’s Assistant poster

John C. Reilly is one of those actors that I will watch in anything, and he’s damn near been in about everything. But not as much as Clint Howard.

Well, today cinematical.com got an exclusive on the CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT poster. Geez, that was a mouth full (No puns of any kind intended).

THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT is actually a book in the 12 part “Cirque Du Freak” series. The series is mainly directed towards kids, but sounds like it would be a lot of fun for adults as well. The self-titled “Cirque Du Freak” by Darren Shan is actually the first book in the “Saga of Darren Shan” being that Darren Shan is the main character. Whew.

Anyway, the story follows, as I said Darren Shan and his friend Steven as they decide to go to the freak show coming to their town. Upon arriving there, the friends meet vampire Larten Crepsley and the band of freaks. Darren finds out that his friend Steve steals Larten’s spider, and that’s when things go awry.

This is another movie where the cast will be a plus in wanting to see the film. You’ve got Salma Hayek as a bearded lady (probably still hot), Willem Defoe also as a vampire but we already know he’s a badass vampire, and Ken Watanabe as vampire, mind reader, and owner of “Cirque Du Freak”.
