Vamp (1986) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

It’s time for a new episode of our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw video series, and in this one we’re looking at a movie that involves vampires and strippers – and no, it’s not From Dusk Till Dawn. This one came along a decade before From Dusk Till Dawn. It’s called Vamp (watch it HERE) – and you can learn all about it by watching the video embedded above!

Directed by Richard Wenk from a screenplay he wrote with Donald P. Borchers, Vamp has the following synopsis:

Welcome to the After Dark Club, where they bleed you dry at the bar. A lot of people wouldn’t be seen dead in a place like this, but an evening with Grace Jones and her friends will be a hot-blooded affair, we promise you. Drink yourself into another world (we recommend the house red), but do not feed the strippers… They bite! Join Keith and A.J., off-campus and looking for some nightlife – though not this kind! And remember… One night stands can sometimes leave you drained.

The film stars Chris Makepeace, Sandy Baron, Robert Rusler, Dedee Pfeiffer, Gedde Watanabe, Billy Drago, and Grace Jones.

Our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw series is

dedicated to highlighting horror films that, for one reason or another, don’t get as much love as we think they should. We know plenty of you horror hounds out there will have seen many of the movies we pick, but there will be plenty of you who have not.

The Vamp episode was Written by Eric Walkuski, Narrated by Shawn Knippelberg, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by John Fallon and Lance Vlcek, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
