Director Aaron Fradkin’s horror comedy Val was given a limited theatrical release on October 1st and will be available to watch On Demand as of October 5th – so right in between those two release dates, we’re proud to bring you an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film! In this clip we see an interaction between lead actors Misha Reeves (The Willows) and Zachary Mooren (Criminal Minds). Reeves is playing the title character, who happens to be a demon escort, and it looks like she delivers a very entertaining performance in the movie.
Scripted by Fradkin and Victoria Fratz, Val has the following synopsis:
Fin is a criminal on the run, wanted for the murder of his boss and the accidental shooting of an officer. He breaks into the home of a high – class escort, only to discover that you get more than you bargain for with VAL, short for “Valefar” – a demon who offers to make all his problems disappear if he agrees to follow her rules. But in Val’s world there are no accidents, and as Fin meets her other “customers”, he learns that Val was expecting him all along, and it isn’t easy to escape Val’s dungeon
Reeves and Mooren are joined in the cast by Erik Griffin (Workaholics), Sufe Bradshaw (Lovecraft Country), Kyle Howard (Orange County), and John Kapelos (The Shape of Water).
A Social House Films production, Val is coming to us from distributor Dread. The film is set to reach Blu-ray on November 2nd. The movie looks interesting to me, so I’ll probably be checking it out sometime this Halloween season – or in November. Does Val look like a movie you’d want to check out?
