Vadhir Derbez joins Guy Pearce in Fangoria’s The Seventh Day

Vadhir Derbez has signed on to co-star with Guy Pearce in the Fangoria production THE SEVENTH DAY, which has been described as "TRAINING DAY meets THE EXORCIST".

Written and directed by Justin P. Lange, THE SEVENTH DAY is scheduled to begin filming in Dallas and New Orleans next month. The story centers on

a renowned exorcist who teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge.

Derbez got his start working on Mexican productions when he was 6 years old. His credits include Gossip Girl: Acapulco, Sense8, and HOW TO BE A LATIN LOVER.

Lange says,

Finding someone who can go toe-to-toe with Guy Pearce is no small task, but I’m confident we’ve found our man with Vadhir Derbez."

Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk are producing THE SEVENTH DAY for Cinestate and Fangoria. Kimberly Hwang and Chelsea Davenport are also producing the film, with Adam Donaghey, Phil Nobile Jr., and Danielle Cox executive producing alongside Voltage Pictures' Nicolas Chartier and Jonathan Deckter.
