UPDATE: Check out our Tweet embeds from the set below!
Those of you who enjoy your sports films are undoubtedly familiar with GOON, which followed Seann William Scott's Doug Glatt as he left the life of a bouncer behind to become one of the leading enforcers in semi-pro hockey. Featuring the greatest sport on the planet, plenty of laughs and Seann William Scott beating the crap out of folks, GOON delivered pretty much everything you'd want. For fans who were interested in a sequel, it's about to deliver that too.
GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS will catch up with the Halifax Highlanders as old teammates reunite alongside a host of new players during a pro lockout. ENFORCERS will serve as the directorial debut of Jay Baruchel, who you may know as the voice of Hiccup in the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON films, but also starred and and co-wrote the first film. Shooting is currently underway in Ontario, Canada and now we have a teaser poster ensuring us that our favorite ass-kicking enforcer is back.
This teaser poster is exactly that, but given how surprisingly enjoyable the first film was, I have high hopes that Baruchel can deliver a solid story with the sequel. We'll actually be visiting the set of GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS later today, so we'll be sure to share what shenanigans are going down on-set as soon as we can. Hopefully a release date will be in the near future!
GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS will be released sometime in 2016.
"These are tasty treats!"
