Safety Not Guaranteed trailer is what indie movies should strive to be

SAFETY NOT GUARANTED premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and our very own Chris Bumbray was a fan. Now with this full trailer I can see why. It is funny and Aubrey Plaza looks to continue her signature smartass portrayal, which she uses to great effect on PARKS AND RECREATION.

PLOT: Darius (Aubrey Plaza) is an unpaid, much abused intern at a Seattle magazine, who’s sent out with a veteran writer (Jake M. Johnson) and another intern (Karan Soni) to check out an odd classified ad, seeking a partner for a “time-travel adventure- safety not guaranteed”. Turns out, the ad was placed by Kenneth (Mark Duplass); an eccentric supermarket wage slave, and only Darius is able to get close enough to investigate his time-travel claims. Along the way, the two just might fall in love, but is Kenneth actually crazy, or has he actually, somehow, figured out how to travel through time?

Mark Duplass looks hilarious and Jake Johnson already cracks me up on NEW GIRL. This could be a sleeper hit that is just unique enough to be popular with young and old alike. Plus, Aubrey Plaza looks hotter with each successive role she is in.

SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED opens June 8th.
