As the film industry continues to adjust to the world's new normal amid the coronavirus crisis, Universal has opted to shift its Bob Odenkirk (BETTER CALL SAUL, MR. SHOW) and Connie Nielsen (WONDER WOMAN, ONE HOUR PHOTO) action thriller NOBODY from its original August 14 release to February 26, 2021.
Directed by HARDCORE HENRY helmer Ilya Naishuller and written by John Wick series writer Derek Kolstad, NOBODY tells the story of a bystander who intervenes to help a woman being harassed by a group of men and thus becomes the target of a vengeful drug lord.
In addition to moving NOBODY to next year, Universal also confirmed that their untitled M. Night Shyamalan thriller is being moved from its February 26, 2021 launch to … Well, your guess is as good as ours. As it turns out, Shyamalan's untitled feature, which had been in pre-production when the coronavirus froze Hollywood in its tracks, remains undated at this time. The film was supposed to shoot in Philadelphia, PA, but thanks to an abundance of production shutdowns, Shyamalan fans shall go wanting, at least for the time being.
Things are tough all over for those working in Hollywood and beyond, but we'll get through this. As film fans it's our duty to support the films and creators we love, even during times of crisis.
