Back in August, the upcoming action/horror film ARTIK caught my attention with its cast and a unique plot synopsis that blended a serial killer tale with comic book fandom. We're still waiting to hear a release date for the film, but it has taken a step forward with the unveiling of a pair of posters.
The feature debut of writer/director Tom Botchii, ARTIK stars Jerry G. Angelo as the title character, along with Lauren Ashley Carter, Chase Williamson, Matt Mercer, and Gavin White. The story is set on
a family-run sunflower farm, where comic-book obsessed serial killer Artik, his life partner Flin, and their family of foster kids are on the hunt for the ultimate comic-book hero. Until Holton, an Al-Anon attending straight edge, punk purist, comes between them.
ARTIK is the first joint release from TLG Motion Pictures and Have Not Films. Angelo produced with Have Not's Erik Bernard.
The newly released and very cool posters for the film can be seen below. They feature artwork by Christopher Shy, who has also created posters for MANDY and next year's GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS.
