Twin Peaks revival rated TVMA, plus descriptions for first 8 parts

The stars turn and a time presents itself.

We are only a few days away from Showtime's revival of David Lynch's TWIN PEAKS, which is set to air this Sunday, May 21st at 9 PM. Yesterday, we shared a new 3-part video series on the show's cultural impact back in the day and today we have some new info to share.

Turns out Showtime has released not only the revivals TV rating but also some cryptic ass descriptions of the first 8 parts of the new series.

First off, TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN is rated TVMA for "Adult Content, Adult Language, Violence, and Brief Nudity".

Nice…That said, the show's official website also has the rating listed as TV-14 for "adult content, adult language, and mild violence" way down at the bottom of the page so make of that what you will.

The safe bet is that the 18-parts overall gathered a rating of TV-14, but the 2-part premiere episode snagged a TVMA rating. Although I don't know how that makes much sense… But, whatever, this is TWIN PEAKS we are talking about here so not much is going to make sense.

Next, we have the descriptions of the first 8 parts of the new 18-part series. As I said above, they are cryptic as f*ck so stick with me here. Personally, I find them to be amazingly in-tune with Twin Peaks and Lynch overall.

Part 1: My log has a message for you.

Part 2: The stars turn and a time presents itself.

Part 3: Call for help.

Part 4: …brings back some memories.

Part 5: Case files.

Part 6: Don’t die.

Part 7: There’s a body all right.

Part 8: Gotta light?

What the f*ck, right?

Currently I am furiously working my way back through the original 30 episodes of the series and so SOME of this makes a bit of sense – actually, the only one I recognise is "My log has a message for you", which, of course, comes from The Log Lady as she speaks to her log and then relays info through said log – but a lot of these descriptions, I'm sure, only makes sense to Lynch himself.
