Twin Peaks: Mädchen Amick shares image of cast reunion that stirred up “all the feels”

The David Lynch and Mark Frost series Twin Peaks made its premiere on ABC in 1990 and ran for two seasons before being cancelled. It was followed by the feature film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and a couple decades later the series was revived for a third season on Showtime, called Twin Peaks: The Return. While we anxiously wait to see if Lynch and Frost are going to bring us any more stories set in the world of Twin Peaks, the Spooky Empire convention in Orlando, Florida gathered several of the show’s cast members together for a reunion that stirred up all the feels.

Cast member Mädchen Amick shared a picture to Instagram that shows her enjoying a dinner with fellow cast members Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, and Kimmy Robertson.

When Twin Peaks began, it followed an investigation, headed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper and local Sheriff Harry S. Truman, into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the fictional town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Things got really bizarre from there.

Amick’s character was Shelly Johnson, “a young diner waitress in an abusive marriage”. Dana Ashbrook ws Bobby Briggs, Laura’s boyfriend. Sherilyn Fenn as Audrey Horne, classmate of Laura’s whose father owned the Great Northern Hotel. MacLachlan’s character was Special Agent Dale Cooper, “an FBI agent assigned to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer”. Lee played the ill-fated Laura Palmer herself. And Robertson was Lucy Moran, the sheriff station secretary.

Are you a fan of Twin Peaks, and are you glad to see these cast members back together again? Do you have any hope that we’ll be getting more Twin Peaks sometime down the line? Share your thoughts on the show by leaving a comment below.

I was very late to the party, I didn’t watch any Twin Peaks until after the Showtime revival had aired, but I really enjoyed it. Or at least a good portion of it.
