New MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and JURASSIC WORLD TV spots have landed online, and both feature previously unseen footage. There isn't a lot of new stuff, but the spots do provide us with a fresh look at the upcoming films.
MAD MAX: FURY ROAD continues to look amazing, and hopefully that three-hour-plus long first cut sees the light of day. Although I'm pretty confident that George Miller's reportedly $150 million-budgeted Mad Max flick will be fantastic, I'm still worried about the movie's box office potential. The film should do solid numbers worldwide, but I'm not sure how it will perform at domestic theaters. Do you think the strong R rating will help or hurt MAD MAX: FURY ROAD's box office run?
JURASSIC WORLD (for one reason or another) isn't that high on my list of most-anticipated spring/summer releases, however I'm interested in seeing what director Colin Trevorrow will do with the fourth installment in the series. The new TV spot contains a bit more on Indominus Rex, the dinosaur that was cooked up in a lab to help boost visitor attendance at the park. The genetically modified hybrid dino might not end up being as scary as the T-Rex or velociraptors from JURASSIC PARK (and to a lesser extent the second and third films), but the creature still appears to be one vicious son of a bitch.
MAD MAX: FURY ROAD opens on May 15, 2015, and JURASSIC WORLD will be in theaters on June 12, 2015.
