TV Interview: Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow

After seventeen years, Ewan MacGregor’s return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi is finally here. Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi finds the Jedi master on Tatooine protecting Luke Skywalker from a distance. But, when a group of Inquisitors dispatched by Darth Vader comes looking for him, Obi-Wan must go on another adventure. The six-episode series looks like a welcome return to a galaxy far, far away and introduces lots of elements to the franchise we have never seen in live-action before.

Leading up to the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi, I got the chance to talk with director Deborah Chow about bringing the show to life. We talked about her inspiration for the show, the use of John Williams’ iconic score during production, and the daunting task to bridge the prequels and original Star Wars trilogy. You can check out the full interview in the embed above.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on May 27th on Disney+.
