Trolls 3: Universal & DreamWorks sequel gets an official title and groovy trailer

Universal and DreamWorks will put a groove in your two-step today by unveiling the official title and trailer for the next film in the Trolls franchise. The threequel is called Trolls Band Together, and it looks like the trippiest Trolls adventure yet! Singing and dancing its way into theaters on November 17, the Trolls Band Together trailer brings love into the air as Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) explore matters of the heart before Branch’s long-lost brother, Floyd (Troye Sivan), reveals Branch’s dark past as the youngest member of a legendary boy band, BroZone.

In addition to the Trolls Band Together trailer, Universal and Dreamworks unveiled the entire cast for the new film. Joining Kendrick and Timberlake for the next Trolls adventure are Eric André (Jackass Forever), Kid Cudi (Don’t Look Up), Daveed Diggs (Hamilton), Troye Sivan (Boy Erased), Camilla Cabello (Cinderella), Amy Schumer (Only Murders in the Building), Andrew Rannells (Big Mouth), RuPaul Charles (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Zosia Mamet (The Flight Attendant), Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-AssSuperbad), Icona Pop collaborators Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, Anderson Paak, Ron Funches (Harley Quinn), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) and Kenan Thompson (SNL).

In Trolls Band Together, Queen Poppy discovers her partner, Branch, was once a part of her favorite boy band, BroZone. Branch was a featured player in the band alongside Floyd (Sivan), John Dory (André), Spruce (Diggs), and Clay (Cudi). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby; the family hasn’t spoken since. When Floyd is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of pop-star villains – Velvet (Schumer) and Veneer (Rannells) – Branch and Poppy, embark on an emotional journey to reunite Branch’s family and rescue Floyd from a dark fate.

I’m just going to say it. Trolls Band Together looks like lots of fun! I’ve yet to see any of the Trolls movies. Still, I enjoy the colorful world, quirky characters, and sprinkling of adult humor. Additionally, the Trolls appear to get high in this movie. They can call it “hustle” or whatever they like, but I know the truth.

Trolls Band Together opens in theaters just in time for the Thanksgiving window in the United States on November 17.
