Despite rumors that Michael Dougherty’s TRICK ‘R TREAT had been delayed, it appears that Dougherty’s directorial debut will still make the original October 5th date that Warner Bros. set out for the film.
If you remember correctly, Dougherty is the scribe behind SUPERMAN RETURNS , a sad and unfortunate film for myself. The odd and savage memories of that trip to the movie theatre still resonate in my heart to this very day. I’ve tried everything to get that shattering disappointment out of my heart before it turns into cruel bitter rage, but nothing has worked, not even Ibogaine.
But before I begin to weep openly about the failed return to the big screen of my childhood hero, here is what TRICK ‘R TREAT is about: Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.
