Along with the remastered, HD version of the movie viewers will get a sneak peek at the upcoming movie about our favorite yellow Autobot, as well as an interview with songwriter Stan Bush who wrote the themes “The Touch” and “Dare.” The event will take place across 500 theaters nationwide, and you can check out more on the Fathom site.

The movie may not have been popular when it came out, becoming a box office disappointment that lost $10 million. This is perhaps because of its rather dark approach to the story, which involved killing off Optimus Prime in the first act. Not exactly a crowdpleaser. But it has since achieved cult status and plenty of recognition from fans, with many believing it’s better than anything Bay has cooked up with the series in the last ten years.

THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE hits theaters for one night only September 27, and you can start buying tickets on August 3.
