Transformers are dangerous in these Age of Extinction viral posters and clip

Whether you are excited for TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION or not, you are probably at least curious as to whether director Michael Bay was being truthful when he said this would be a much different film than the first three in the series. Kicking off a proposed new trilogy, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION has been advetising with the catch phrase that “the rules have changed”. How exactly they have changed is unknown, although theories and leaked plot summaries seem to lean towards humanity somehow engineering their own Transformers, which seems to go awry with the arrival of new Decepticons.

One thing is for sure, in TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots are no longer the heroes we saw in the first trilogy. The new viral site for the movie, Transformers Are Dangerous, plays with the same fear and paranoia that has driven other movies like the X-MEN franchise and last year’s MAN OF STEEL. Xenophobia and fear of invasion seem to be themes that are becoming all too common in movies these days.

Check out the pretty cool video on “The Fall of Chicago” as well as five new propaganda posters for the movie below. I am always a sucker for these kinds of advertisements as they add a level of mystery and realism to movies that are in no way grounded in reality.
