Transformers 3 date

UPDATE – Michael Bay posted the following missive on his website: “Wait a minute! I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 – they asked me on the phone – I said yes to July 4 – but for 2012 – whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots.” IESB.net reached Paramount for comment and they were given the ole “no comment.” Stay tuned….

3.16.09: The hell with waiting to see if TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is the same gigantronic box office success as the first one. Paramount has already pulled the trigger on TRANSFORMERS 3: MEGA METAL ROBOPOCALYPSE.

The studio has driven rivets into July 1st, 2011 for a release date, claiming the all-important lucrative holiday weekend for the third clash of non-GoBots.

No official deals are in place for stars Shia LaBeouf or Megan Fox, nor for mayhem master Michael Bay. But you can guess he’ll proclaim that it was “always envisioned as a trilogy” as they shower him with whatever dollars, broads and narcotics might be necessary to secure his destructive directorial services.
