This third season finds BREAKING BAD's Aaron Paul joining the regular cast of Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, and Ed Harris. Lena Waithe costars along with Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi, Vincent Cassel, and Marshawn Lynch. Along with the new faces, a deadly new setting: Los Angeles, where Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) has escaped following the collapse of the theme park.
The show's original rundown went like this:
Westworld isn't your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic "hosts" — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park's guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. "Westworld" — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy adapted JURASSIC PARK author Michael Crichton's concept into the series format and are executive producers on the show with J.J. Abrams, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, Athena Wickham, and Ben Stephenson. Westworld is a production of Warner Bros. Television, Nolan and Joy's Kilter Films, and Abrams' Bad Robot. WESTWORLD Season 3 is set to hit HBO sometime in 2020.
