The Quibi streaming service will be going live on April 6th, and one of the shows it will be leading with is Survive, based on a novel by Richard Abate. Directed by Mark Pellington from a script by Abate and Jeremy Ungar, the Survive series stars Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner and The Walking Dead's Corey Hawkins. The story centers on
Jane, a young woman who has to fight for her life when her plane crashes on a remote snow-covered mountain. Paul is the only other remaining survivor and together they embark on a harrowing journey out of the wilderness.
Survive is executive produced by Gunpowder & Sky's Barry Barclay, Van Toffler, and Floris Bauer, with Abate producing along with Cary Granate and Ed Jones.
Quibi gets its name from the fact that it will be serving subscribers "quick bites" of entertainment. Episodes of Quibi shows will be 10 minutes or less and are meant to be watched on your phone while you're on the go.
