Hulu and Blumhouse's holiday-themed horror anthology show Into the Dark will focus on Mother's Day for its May entry, the eighth film in the twelve film series. Directed by Chelsea Stardust from a script by Sean Keller and Jim Agnew, the Mother's Day movie is titled ALL THAT WE DESTROY and stars Samantha Mathis in the story of
a geneticist who fears that her son may be becoming a serial killer and creates a group of clones in an attempt to cure him of his psychopathic tendencies. Therefore allowing him to relive the murder of his first victim.
Israel Broussard, Aurora Perrineau, Dora Madison, and Frank Whaley are also in the cast.
ALL THAT WE DESTROY will be available to watch on Hulu as of May 3rd, and two weeks out from the film's debut we've gotten our hands on the trailer.
I'm going to be watching all of the movies in the Into the Dark series, even when they don't sound appealing to me – and I have to admit, when I saw that the synopsis for ALL THAT WE DESTROY started with "a geneticist", I started to tune out. Thankfully, the trailer indicates that this is going to be a twisted and intense story rather than the ponderous sci-fi tale I was concerned it might be.
I've been a fan of Samantha Mathis since the early '90s, so I look forward to seeing her in this.
