Vertical Entertainment has set an October 15th digital and On Demand release for PORTAL, a "delightfully delicious" horror film from director Dean Alioto. In anticipation of the film's release, a trailer has arrived online and can be seen below.
Many horror fans will be sold on seeing PORTAL before they even watch the trailer, because the film stars Ryan Merriman of FINAL DESTINATION 3, Heather Langenkamp of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (plus DREAM WARRIORS and NEW NIGHTMARE), Jamie Tisdale of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, Najarra Townsend of CONTRACTED and WOLF MOTHER, and Yan Birch of THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS.
Described as "INSIDIOUS meets PARANORMAL ACTIVITY", the film has the following synopsis:
When an ambitious ghost hunter performs a risky ritual, opening a portal to "the other side", he and his team quickly find themselves way in over their heads in a fight for survival against an ancient demonic force.
