So I'm a big sucker for time-travel/multiple timeline movies like BACK TO THE FUTURE, PRIMER, COHERENCE, SLIDING DOORS…just inject that sh*t into my veins! So I'm actually really looking forward to the award-winning time-bending, sci-fi thriller VOLITION, which just dropped its mindf*ck trailer today (and which you'll be able watch in the embed at the top of the article). Here's the official synopsis:
In this time-bending cerebral science-fiction thriller, a man afflicted with clairvoyance tries to change his fate when a series of events leads to a vision of his own imminent murder. Awarded as BEST FEATURE at the Philip K. Dick Film Festival, among a slew of other awards and critical acclaim, VOLITION is a tightly-wound puzzle of a ride.
Looks cool to me! Honestly feels like a better, darker version of that Nicholas Cage movie NEXT (based on the story GOLDEN MAN by Philip K. Dick), which – to be fair – actually had a pretty cool premise, that was just mired by bad CGI, wigs, and script. Hopefully this one turns out better!
Meanwhile, VOLITION – directed by Tony Dean Smith and starring Adrian Glynn McMorran, Magda Apanowicz, John Cassini, Frank Cassini, Aleks Paunovic, and Bill Marchant – is planning on coming to theaters, VOD, and digital July 10th.
So what do you guys think? Any other favorite time-travel thrillers? Either way, sound off below!
