The Walking Dead Universe is about to grow even more as a third (count it out – a third) series is headed our way in spring 2020. The pilot is being directed by KONG: SKULL ISLAND's Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and today AMC released not only a new trailer but the show's official title.

Now I'm not sure if what the world needs is yet another spin-off of The Walking Dead. Especially after the comic's creator, Robert Kirkman decided to end the whole she-bang earlier this year. But yet here we are and here we have another tale from "The Walking Dead Universe" (urgh) stumbling our way. Let's hope this one has a bit of fun with the premise.
THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND will feature two young female protagonists and focus on
the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.
Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series hails to us from co-creators Scott M. Gimple and showrunner Matt Negrete. It stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, and Nico Tortorella. The first season of this show will consist of ten episodes and once The Walking Dead season 10 wraps up, THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND is expected to premiere on AMC sometime in Spring 2020.
