On July 4th, the same day the third season of Stranger Things will be available for viewing on the Netflix streaming service, a video game based on the show and titled Stranger Things 3: The Game will also be released.
According to NME,
the game will feature 12 different playable characters, each with their own set of Demorgon-beating skills. Like the previous mobile game, it will be in 16-bit animation but utilise current technology in the gameplay. Users will also be able to team up and play together.
A trailer for the game can be seen below, and while the game has several playable characters the two this trailer focuses on are Joyce and Hopper, who are played by Winona Ryder and David Harbour on the TV show. These video game versions of the characters are total badasses, with Hopper barreling through enemies and Joyce looking like she's going full Ripley.
Stranger Things 3: The Game will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
