A trailer has arrived online for the upcoming television series Paradise Lost, which will be available to watch ad-free exclusively on Specture's On Demand platform as of April 13th. This show marks Josh Hartnett's return to genre TV four years after Penny Dreadful ended, and Entertainment Weekly described it as a slow burn drama that features supernatural elements – but it makes you wait for those elements to enter the picture. EW advised viewers that they will "have to practice patience with this series".
If that doesn't put you off from giving Paradise Lost a chance, check out the trailer embedded above and see if this is a show you'd like to watch next month.
The official description of the show is that it's a
contemporary southern family saga, told through the eyes of the wife of a prodigal son and his Stanford educated psychiatrist wife who returns home to Mississippi to help run his family business.
Hartnett is joined in the cast by Bridget Regan, Autry Haydon-Wilson, Nick Nolte, Barbara Hershey, Gail Bean, Danielle Deadwyler, Shane McRae, and Silas Weir Mitchell.
The first season of Paradise Lost will run for ten episodes.
