Trailer introduces the faceless horror of Flay

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

For nearly twenty years, Eric Pham has been working on films in the visual effects department, frequently collaborating with Robert Rodriguez and even designing the main titles for GRINDHOUSE. Aside from that film, Pham's work in the horror genre appears to have been quite limited, perhaps non-existent, but now Pham is getting into directing features and has taken the helm of a horror film entitled FLAY.

Written by Matthew James Daley, FLAY shows what happens when

recovering addict Patricia Crane inadvertently unleashes a centuries old curse and empowers Flay, a faceless killer who drags his victims to the netherworld, brutally flays them and traps their souls.

The cast includes Elle LaMont, Dalton Gray, Johnny Walter, Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, Peggy Schott, Violett Beane, Kaylee King, Noe de la Garza, and A. Michael Baldwin, who has a lot of experiencing facing off with supernatural monsters, thanks to the PHANTASM franchise.

A trailer for FLAY can be seen below, and while the film's low budget is apparent in some moments, it also features some very creepy and cool visuals. It looks like Pham is proving himself very capable of bringing horror to the screen.

FLAY is expected to be released sometime in 2016.
