Amityville has been on the tips of everybody’s tongues once more this year, now that the Warrens have revisited their most popular case in THE CONJURING 2. In 2016, we were also supposed to get the next entry in the AMITYVILLE franchise proper, AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, but that has been bumped into 2017 and/or oblivion.
However, you can’t keep a good ghost story down, and the non-franchise-affiliated THE AMITYVILLE TERROR is swooping in on VOD on August 2nd, releasing a new trailer and poster today for your consumption. Although the title makes it sound like an Asylum movie with a microscopic budget, it actually looks like a decent indie flick. Check it out below!
The synopsis:
When a new family moves to an old house in Amityville, they are tormented and tortured by an evil spirit living in their house, and trapped by the malicious townspeople who want to keep them there.
AMITYVILLE TERROR is directed by Michael Angelo from a screenplay by Amanda Barton and stars Nicole Tompkins, Kaiwi Lyman, Kim Nielsen, Tonya Kay, and Barton.
