It has only been four months since the release of ASHES, the feature directorial debut of Barry Jay, founder of the Barry's Bootcamp chain of exercise studios, but we've already gotten our hands on a trailer for Jay's new film KILLER THERAPY. The trailer is embedded above, while a handful of stills can be seen below.
In addition to Elizabeth Keener, Ivy George, and newcomer Michael Qeliqi, KILLER THERAPY stars a mixture of actors known for their work in the FRIDAY THE 13TH and HALLOWEEN franchises. There's original FRIDAY THE 13TH heroine Adrienne King, the original HALLOWEEN's PJ Soles, the HALLOWEEN remake's Daeg Faerch, and Thom Mathews of JASON LIVES: FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI (as well as THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART II).
Written by Jay, the film has the following synopsis:
Brian is a disturbed child with sociopathic tendencies dealing with a father who doesn’t love him, a mother unconvinced of his violent nature, and a newly adopted sister he believes is there to replace him. After a series of escalating violent incidents, he is bounced around from failed therapist to failed therapist, maturing into a young man still unable to escape his anger issues. When his life eventually falls apart by his own choices, Brian blames his series of failed therapists, embracing his dark nature and taking his revenge on everyone who ever wronged him – one by one, finally understanding that accepting who you are inside can be the best therapy.
KILLER THERAPY looks promising to me, and the involvement of the FRIDAY THE 13TH and HALLOWEEN actors is enough to get me to check it out.
The film doesn't have a release date yet, but while we wait to find out more information on this one you can find ASHES on DVD HERE, or watch the movie through Amazon Prime HERE.
