The first trailer for THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG has arrived and features more of the grand scale adventure you’ve come to expect from Peter Jackson. For the second part of this journey we’re introduced to a number of new (and returning) characters, including Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), and a closer look at the titular Smaug, minus the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch. The first film in the new trilogy underwhelmed some, but was still a massive hit and this looks to follow the same model. Personally, I loved first entry and am excited as hell to see this, but I know some are a little more leery.
