Peter Askin’s film adaptation of Stephen King's short story A GOOD MARRIAGE was recently picked up by Screen Media Films back in June and now we’ve got the official trailer to hand over to you guys. The film, which stars Joan Allen and Anthony LaPaglia, is all about the idea of how you can never truly know someone, even if you’ve been married to them for over twenty years. A GOOD MARRIAGE was definitely one of the highlights in King’s recent short story collection, Full Dark No Stars, and based on this trailer it looks like King—who wrote the screenplay—stuck pretty close to the pages. Take a look!
Two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead.
When her husband (Anthony LaPaglia) of more than twenty years is away on one of his business trips, Darcy Anderson (Joan Allen) looks for batteries in the garage. Instead she discovers the stranger inside her husband. It’s a horrifying discovery, rendered with bristling intensity, and it definitively ends a good marriage.
The film also stars Kristen Connolly and Stephen Lang; look for it in theaters and on iTunes on October 3rd.
