Netflix has a special gift for Lost in Space fans this year, as they're planning to make all episodes of the show's second season available to binge on December 24th.
An update of the series that originally ran from 1965 to '68, this Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Parker Posey. The synopsis:
There’s more danger — and adventure — ahead for the Robinson family! With the Jupiter 2 stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without their beloved Robot, the Robinsons must work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always charming Don West, to make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists. But they quickly find all is not as it seems. A series of incredible new threats and unexpected discoveries emerge as they look for the key to finding Robot and safe passage to Alpha Centauri. They will stop at nothing to keep their family safe… survival is a Robinson specialty after all.
I haven't found the time to watch the first season of this new Lost in Space yet, but I do intend to get around to checking this show out eventually… And my interest in it has been given a boost by the newly released trailer for season 2, which can be seen below.
Netflix sure seems to have pumped a lot of cash into this series, because the action and effects on display in the season 2 trailer appears to be on the level of a blockbuster film.
Give the trailer a look here, and get ready for Lost in Space 2 to hit Netflix on the 24th.
