Trailer for Fire with Fire with Willis, Duhamel, Dawson, and 50 Cent goes down in flames

FIRE WITH FIRE, a new action flick starring Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Vinnie Jones, and, wait for it, 50 Cent, is coming your way and today you can have a look at the first trailer. I don’t want to spoil the experience, so I’ll reserve my thoughts until after you’ve had a look.

What’s kind of baffling to me is that this movie got made with a fairly reputable cast and has come out looking like an action-heavy episode of CSI. Yet, even as goofy as this whole thing looks, I’m still kind of intrigued to see it. On video, of course, which is probably the preferred method anyway. This doesn’t exactly look IMAX ready…

I’m going to skip out on bashing 50 Cent and leave that to you. There are plenty of rappers-turned-actors that have done all right for themselves, but some should just stick to their roots, in my opinion. I love Rosario Dawson and could watch her dancing on a rooftop any day, but would really like to see her in some more esteemed work. There’s always the SIN CITY sequel…

Here’s the synopsis:

An off-duty fireman (Duhamel) is witness to a gang murder and agrees to testify, but when the witness protection program proves useless, he resolves to hunt down the gang leader on his own to protect the woman he loves.

FIRE WITH FIRE is set to open sometime in September.
