Recent years have seen Cuba Gooding Jr. regaining some of his former spark and winning critical praise with his roles in American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, SELMA, and American Horror Story, but the actor is set to make his directorial debut with BAYOU CAVIAR, a thrilling story of sex, murder, and revenge. Gooding Jr. also stars in the film as Rodney Jones, a former boxing champion who desires to reclaim former glories after spending years as a night club bouncer. After witnessing the murder of his boss, Jones is forced into the employ of a Russian mob boss played by Richard Dreyfuss.

A Russian gangster (Oscar® winner, Richard Dreyfuss) engages Rodney (Gooding Jr.), a former boxer, to take down his associate’s son-in-law via a salacious tape made by photographer, Nic (Famke Janssen, X-Men Days of Future Past). The film also stars Katharine McPhee (“Scorpion”), Ken Lerner (“The Goldbergs”), and Lia Marie Johnson (American Wrestler: The Wizard).
BAYOU CAVIAR will be released in select theaters and on VOD on October 5, 2018.
