A few years ago, director Shawn Burkett caught attention and stirred up some controversy with his indie horror movie DON'T F*CK IN THE WOODS. Now work has been completed on DON'T F*CK IN THE WOODS 2, and to mark the occasion we've gotten our hands on a trailer, which is embedded above, and a handful of stills, which can be seen below.
Directed by Burkett from a script he wrote with Cheyenne Gordon, DON'T F*CK IN THE WOODS 2 has the following synopsis:
The counselors of Pine Hills Summer Camp are getting the grounds ready for the upcoming summer season. While they set up, a mysterious girl enters the camp, terrified from a horrific night of bloodshed. Little do they know, something in the woods is heading for the camp.
Gordon stars in the film alongside Brittany Blanton, Kaylee Williams, Nessa Moore, Mark Justice, Jason Crowe, Kayla Elizabeth, Tom Komisar, Alex Gottmann, Kenzie Phillips, Savanna Howard, and Brandy Mason.
Producer Chris Gierowski had this to say about the film:
Like a lot of movies that were in the can before COVID, we were able to punch it up during quarantine. We were able to get more finalized music from composer Rocky Gray, fix some audio, add some visual effects we didn’t think we would have time to get done, a couple of safe and socially distanced reshoots, get some new artwork done by horror artist Nathan Thomas Milliner. It is still a micro-budget horror, but you can tell the difference in quality compared to the first."
The finished DON'T F*CK IN THE WOODS 2 is now in the hands of sales agency Cyfuno Ventures, who are shopping it around to potential distributors.
