Having made its world premiere at Sundance this past January, writer/director Richard Bates Jr.’s comedic psychological thriller TRASH FIRE is now set to receive a November 4th theatrical and VOD release, courtesy of Vertical Entertainment and Orion Releasing.
The plot:
When Owen is forced to confront the past he’s been running from his whole adult life, he and his girlfriend, Isabel, become entangled in a horrifying web of lies, deceit, and murder. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll be scarred for life.
TRASH FIRE stars Adrian Grenier and Angela Trimbur as Owen and Isabel. They are joined in the cast by Fionnula Flanagan, Sally Kirkland, Ray Santiago, Ezra Buzzington, Molly McCook, AnnaLynne McCord, and Matthew Gray Gubler.
The trailer can be seen below, displaying both the film’s comedic and thriller elements. This looks like it’s going to be a very quirky viewing experience, and I’m interested in seeing how the story plays out.
The film screens on October 16th at the first annual Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
