This time on Top 5 Movie Mistakes, to tie in with the Halloween/horror season, I decided to turn my attention, not to a bona fide classic like say Alien, or The Exorcist, but to the 2004 film: James Wan‘s SAW. The low budget wonder (seriously, it grossed a hundred times its budget, a HUNDRED) spawned countless sequels that gradually then rapidly declined in quality, but the original is still quite the film, and one of my favourites. It’s also fairly timely given that production just commenced this month on SAW: LEGACY, which is slated for release in 2017, and will (for better or worse) seek to resurrect the series that sparked a whole slew of “torture porn” films in the late 2000s. Shot in only 18 days, of course Saw isn’t free of movie mistakes, particularly of the continuity variety, so let’s take a look at some of the more glaring ones!
Do you have a favourite Saw movie besides the original? And will you be checking out Saw: Legacy next year?
