Through films like DAWN OF THE DEAD, MANIAC (pictured above), FRIDAY THE 13TH, THE PROWLER, CREEPSHOW, FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER, DAY OF THE DEAD, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2, and many others, special effects artist Tom Savini graced the horror genre with some incredible creatures and displays of gore. With his Grande Illusions books he has offered some insight into how he created those effects, and now his career is set to be chronicled in another book.
Savini took to his Twitter account to announce the upcoming book, revealing a look at the cover art and describing it as a "gigantic coffee table photo biography".
This could really be something special, because Savini has been known to keep extensive documentation of his time on the sets of the movies he worked on. So he's sure to have captured some great images to fill this book with.
A gigantic coffee table book full of images of Savini's work sounds like a great addition to a horror fan's collection.
The book, apparently titled Savini, doesn't yet have a release date, but we'll look you know when more information is made available.
