Hot off the heels of actress Zoe Saldana confirming Gamora’s involvement in The Russo Brothers AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, we may have yet another character to add to the ever-growing list of Marvel heroes that will be going toe-to-toe against Thanos and his underlings in what is sure to be the most epic big screen comic book battle to date!
Recently, Tom Holland engaged in an interview with L'Uomo Vogue Magazine, where the young actor all but confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Avengers film. So far, the interview is only available in print form, but a Tom Holland Twitter fan account appeared to be so excited about it that they posted an image of the article for all of his fans. If the translation of the third column is sound, you can see that, supposedly, both Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have gone to bat for Holland, saying that his Spider-Man is more than capable of hanging with the other veteran characters over the next few years.
You can see a loose translation of that section of the article here:
The approval for the role in Spider-Man arrives personally also by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans 'They’re the ones who convinced Marvel: the producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before entrusting three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War.
I mean, that sounds pretty legit to me, but it’s better to err on the side of caution before running into the streets while singing the Spider-Man theme song at the top of your lungs. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the confirmations for this film, as they roll in.
Meanwhile, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR starring Robert Downey Jr. Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Zoe Saldana, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Brie Larson, Vin Diesel, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, and probably hundreds of other A-List celebrities will land in theaters on May 4, 2018.
