Tom Holland confirms shooting date for Spider-Man 3 & return of Zendaya

We know very little about where the third SPIDER-MAN film of the MCU could be headed, but Tom Holland is confirming when he swings back in front of the camera as the character & the return of a fan favorite love interest.

While promoting his new film ONWARD, Holland spoke with "The Philippine Daily Inquirer" and revealed how happy he is about the third film & when they get started:

"I'm super happy about it. We will be shooting 'Spider-Man 3' in July in Atlanta. As for me showing up in other Marvel movies, I'm not sure as to what they want me to do… Zendaya will most definitely be in the film. As to the relationship between Peter and MJ, I'm not too sure what it will be."

When we last left our hero at the end of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, Peter Parker and M.J. had happily kicked off their romance following the events caused by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). While it seemed like Mysterio was seemingly defeated, he had one last trick up his sleeve & that was revealing Spider-Man's secret identity to the world. The ending gave the MCU one of its biggest cliffhanger moments & I'm sure that leaves Spider-Man and everyone in his orbit in a much different place.

Spider-Man had a pretty great 2019 having appeared in AVENGERS: ENDGAME & leading SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME. The former became the highest grossing film of all-time worldwide while FAR FROM HOME became the highest grossing SPIDER-MAN film globally with a gross of $1.13 billion. Tom Holland is also keeping  busy himself as he's about to start filming the long in development UNCHARTED movie later this month, before moving onto the next installment of SPIDER-MAN 3.
