Tom Hardy boards Takashi Miike’s The Outsider

Saying that Tom Hardy is one of the most sought after actors is like saying grass is green. We know. This is not new information. It’s not a complete news month is Hardy hasn’t been mentioned for some role. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about this. I just want to see him in more flicks like BRONSON than THIS MEANS WAR. Along with a possible biopic starring as Elton John, Hardy has booked the lead in THE OUTSIDER. The drama will be the first English language film that Japanese director Takashi Miike has taken on.

Andrew Baldwin has scripted the original idea from John Linson which is, “set in post-World War II Japan, chronicling the life of a former American G.I. who becomes part of the Japanese Yakuza.”

Projects you can keep an eye out for which star Hardy: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, ANIMAL RESCUE, CHILD 44, ad of course if he lands it, the Elton John biopic ROCKETMAN.
