Tom Hanks performs a miracle in first trailer for Clint Eastwood’s Sully

Just this morning we got our first official look at Tom Hanks as Chelsey Sully” Sullenberger in Clint Eastwood's upcoming SULLY, the biopic which follows the man who became a hero after performing an emergency water landing in the Hudson River which saved all 155 of his passengers. Warner Bros. have now released the first trailer for the film, which shows that there's much more to that story, as the investigation into what happened on that day threatens to destroy Sullenberger's career.

"Over 40 years in the air, but in the end I'm going to be judged on 208 seconds."

An official synopsis for SULLY:

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

SULLY is set for a September 9, 2016 release.
