Tom Hanks flick, Bios, does the Release Date Shuffle to 2021

It would appear that Woody wanted nothing to do with Wonder Woman. As we've just reported, WONDER WOMAN 1984 shifted its release date to October 2, 2020 which just so happened to be the release date for Tom Hanks's sci-fi film, BIOS. But then, before you could say "Life is like a box of chocolates," BIOS hopped off its current slot and headed on into 2021 for an April 16th debut. Frankly, this is a good move. WW84 has the chops to bow mightily at the box office (if people start going to the movies again) and any other film is liable to get left in the Amazonian dust.

BIOS is directed by Miguel Sapochnik (GAME OF THRONES) and features a plot that has Hanks playing Finch, a robotics engineer and one of the few survivors of a cataclysmic solar event that has left the world a wasteland. Finch has been living in an underground bunker for decade with his dog, Goodyear. However, Finch is terminally ill. With time running out, he creates a robot (Caleb Landry Jones, GET OUT) to watch over Goodyear when he no longer can. As the trio embarks on a perilous journey into a desolate American West, Finch strives to show his creation, who names himself Jeff, the joy and wonder of what it means to be alive and to teach him to become human enough to take care of Goodyear. And Goodyear himself must learn to accept and trust his new master.

Damn, that sounds pretty f-ing good! Maybe BIOS did have the might to match Princess Diana of Themyscira? Nah, give the flick its own release date. So April 16, 2021 it is! What are your thoughts on that plot? Let us know below!
